Starkville
is located in Northeast Mississippi in Oktibbeha County.
It is within 250 miles of four major cities: Birmingham,
Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans.
Starkville is home to Mississippi
State University, the largest university in the state and a
member of the Southeastern Conference. MSU is home to
over 17,000 students, 1,000 faculty and 4,600 staff
members. As a a national leader in engineering,
veterinary medicine and agricultural research, MSU was
